Hello Friends and Family,
We delivered to two more families today and what a beautiful day it was! Both of these amazingly strong moms are battling breast cancer and had a total of 8 children between the two of them.
The favorite part of our day was pulling up to the families’ homes and seeing the kids jumping for joy. One of the moms told us that her kids didn’t believe that Santa was really coming to see THEM at their house! And one of the kids asked again if that was Santa in the book he was reading. We were greeted by the most gracious families that invited us into their homes and gave us hugs after hugs. We also met several other kids in the neighborhoods who were so excited to see Santa and receive candy canes and presents (except for the one 18-month old who’s parents tortured him while taking a picture with Santa😊). We also realized that you are never too old to see Santa and get a candy cane as several elderly residents made their way out of their homes just to get a photo.
We have two more deliveries scheduled for tomorrow and will be sending out more updates. We do have some sad news to report however. Santa’s faithful sleigh decided today that he had had enough and is in the shop awaiting repairs. If anyone has a direct line to Rudolph, that would be amazing!
If you haven’t donated yet, please consider donating even the smallest amount. You can donate here: www.secretsantaoveratlanta.com or Venmo @Lydia-Whitner.
Thank you for all of the magic you are making.
