14th Annual Secret Santa Delivery Update
Good Evening Secret Santa Friends and Family,
It was a beautiful day yesterday for deliveries. As Santa finished personalizing the books, the team packed up the sleigh with presents for families, extra presents and candy canes for neighborhood children and headed out to complete three deliveries for some very special children and their families.
As something inevitably happens every year, Secret Santa had a small hiccup and ended up at the wrong address for our first family. No worries though, as Santa and his team arrived at our destination just a little bit late. We were greeted by a family of four, and the highlight was Olori (which we found out means Queen), the 2 year who shouted “Ho, Ho, Ho” and reached out to immediately jump into Santa’s arms. While we helped the family unload all of their treasures into their home, the beautiful 16 year old showed her gratitude to Santa with a simple smile and hand on her heart.
After we left, we received this message and photos from the family. ❤️
"Thank you and your family again for bringing Christmas to our family this year, it means so much to all of us." 🎄🙏🏽
On to our next delivery, we delivered to a family at a local church where the family was greeted by the sounds of “Here Comes Santa Claus” and Santa bellowing out his Christmas cheers. While there was somewhat of a language barrier, smiles of joy and hugs of gratitude said it all! Please check out the attached video!
Finally, our third delivery was to a very cheerful single mom with a 3 year old. We were quickly greeted by not only this family but all of the neighborhood children running up to Santa’s sleigh. While the elves delivered the presents into the home, Santa handed out an additional 30-40 presents to the children.
Sending a big hug and thanks to our good friend Mardell and her son Greyson for their generosity and assistance with deliveries this year!
Thank YOU both for including us. My heart literally grew 3 sizes! That is what Christmas spirit is all about. You’ve given those children indelible, magical happy memories!!!
We would also like to thank HLB Gross Collins, P.C. for “adopting” a family and providing all the gifts, food and gift cards – We couldn’t have done it without you!
We have our two final deliveries scheduled for Wednesday afternoon so stay tuned for more amazing stories.
For all of you that have donated – thank you! If you have not yet donated, we are still in need of financial donations as we still have a few holes to fill for the remaining families for food, gifts cards and presents. And remember, no donation is too small.
To donate, please visit our website at www.secretsantaoveratlanta.com or Venmo to @Lydia-Whitner.
Thank you again for your generosity and support!
Santa and Mrs. Claus
